virtual bookshelf for e-commerce applications
This stylish virtual bookshelf was created for a online bookshop concept. The idea was to give people a more enjoyable browsing experience online - particularly aimed at bookworms and bookshop junkies. We can't yet provide the smell of books through your screen (some do ask!), but to have your books on a virtual shelf, - in this case sci-fi style - framed by the outline of a weathered book, is enough to get that nostalgic tingle going in your average book-shopper.The application would ideally be adapted to run from a database. The client would upload images of the book, as well as inputting the title, author and description. The books would then appear on the shelf and could be organised and searched though as the user wished.
