This Flash animated banner was created for the Hurst Financial Consultancy website - see web design portfolio. It emulates the changing focal length of a camera, by adding and removing blur on the foreground and background layers.

The oak is used as a metaphor for financial security and the development of investments - growing from a small sapling to a large forest. The final shot shows a bridge as another metaphor, this time as an aid to getting where you want to go or achieving your goals. The images were sourced from stock photography archives.

Rather than have the animation loop continuously, which many users find very distracting and irritating, we added a 'play again' option to allow anyone who was interested to see it again.
